Police Hunt Gunman After Shot Fired

Police are hunting an armed man who fired a shot at a motorist over the weekend.

The incident happened in the Pansy Street area of east Belfast at 1.20am on Saturday.

The victim was approached by an armed male who fired one shot at him. The shot missed and the suspect fled the scene. The PSNI have appealed for information.

Alliance East Belfast MP Naomi Long said: "The person behind this attempted shooting must be condemned. There is absolutely no justification for bringing guns onto our streets.

"If anybody has any information about this attempted shooting then I would urge them to contact the police."

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Colin Horner
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner in Bangor, Co Down. Mr Horner was fatally shot outside a supermarket in from of his young son on 28 May this year. The suspect has been taken to Musgrave police station to be questioned.
