Man Killed In Ballymena Car Crash Named

The man who was killed in a car crash in Ballymena on Tuesday was 66-year-old Vincent Kelly.

Mr Kelly was the driver of one of the cars involved in the accident, which happened on the Lisnavenagh Road.

The other drivers injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Pulled From Water In River Lagan Rescue Operation
Police officers have been praised for rescuing a man from the River Lagan on Sunday 02 December. Emergency services quickly responded when it was reported a man had fallen into the water close to the Obel Tower. He was pulled to safety and treated at the scene in an operation involving police, ambulance staff and river rescue personnel.

Man Killed In Car Collision
A man has been killed in a car crash in Londonderry. Two other people have also been injured in the accident, which happened after midnight on Thursday at Alder Road. Two cars were involved in the accident. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Maghaberry Inmate Dies In Custody
A prisoner in Maghaberry has died in custody, the Northern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS) has confirmed. The 28-year-old man died in hospital on Tuesday, 11 December. His next of kin have been informed. Investigations into the death have been launched by the PSNI, Coroner and the Prisoner Ombudsman.

Man Charged With Murder Of Padraig Fox
A 21-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Padraig Fox in Newcastle, Co Down. The 29-year-old's body was discovered in a flat in the Burrendale Park Road area on Saturday, 08 December. Another man, aged 26, has been charged with related offences including perverting the course of justice.

Police investigating a report of a sexual assault in Belfast City Centre almost two weeks ago have charged a 19-year-old man. The incident is believed to have took place on Little May Street on Sunday 25 November. The accused has been charged with attempted rape and sexual assault.

Teenager Killed In L'Derry Crash
A teenage girl has died in a car accident in L'Derry. The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 5pm on Sunday. The 13-year-old is believed to have been from County Donegal. The road has been re-opened.

Two die in separate road accidents
Two people have died in separate road accidents in Counties Londonderry and Down. In the latest accident, a man died following a road traffic accident in Ballynahinch on Wednesday. The accident occurred on the Crossgar Road at around 10.30am. Only one vehicle is believed to have been involved. The victim's name has yet to be released.

Two Charged Over Attempted Hijiacking In Newtownabbey
Two men have been charged in connection with a hijacking attempt in Newtownabbey, County Antrim. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday, 12 December. A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted hijacking, resisting police, assault of police and disorderly behaviour following the alleged incident.

Pensioner Dies In Portadown Crash
A 93-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision on the Derrycoose Road in the Annaghmore area of Portadown. The crash, involving a red Nissan Micra, happened at about 2.20pm on Wednesday, 12 December. Police have named the victim as John Joseph Milsop from the Portadown area, who was the driver of the vehicle.

Third Man Charged Over Eddie Meenan Murder
A teenager has been charged with the murder of Edward Meenan in L'Derry. 19-year-old Ryan Walters is the third person to be accused of the father-of-four's murder, whose body was found in an alleyway in the Creggan Street area of the city on Sunday 25 November. He suffered significant injuries to his head and body.
