Man Injured In Paramilitary Style Attack

A man has been shot in the leg in a paramilitary style attack in west Belfast.

The attack happened in Beechmount Crescent at around 8pm on Tuesday.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and he has been discharged from hospital.

SDLP Lower Falls Councillor Colin Keenan said: "I condemn the use of violence, this never solves anything.

"People need to put their faith in the rule of law and not take believe they have the right to judge people and administer violence.

"History has shown us paramilitary style shootings did not solve social issues in the past and will not solve them now."
