Pensioner robbed in north Belfast home

An 82 year-old man has been treated for shock following a robbery at his home in north Belfast last night.

The pensioner was forced into his house in Fortwilliam Parade at about 11pm by three men who ransacked the house and left with a sum of money and pension books.

Detectives at Antrim Road are keen to speak to anyone who has information about this crime.

Elsewhere, detectives in Antrim are appealing for information following a robbery at a house in the Ballytromery area of Crumlin.

A number of men entered a house in Orchard Hill at about 6pm and demanded cash and drugs. A male occupant was manhandled, and while he wasn't physically hurt he was badly shaken by the ordeal.

The men left with a sum of money. The gang, who were all wearing baseball caps, got into a red Vauxhall saloon type car and were seen heading in the direction of Crumlin Main Street.
