Apprentice Boys Blame Nationalists Over Attacks

The Apprentice Boys loyal order has blamed nationalists for attacks on their L’Derry headquarters.

Three attacks in as many days have been carried out at the memorial hall in Society Street.

They say the attacks started over the Remembrance weekend.

Apprentice Boys governor Jim Brownlee has said the attacks are damaging the city.

He said paint bombs were thrown from the Bogside area of the city, and so it could be assumed nationalists were responsible.

The attacks follow claims from the Carrick Hill residents in north Belfast that Apprentice Boys had defied Parades Commission rulings and played an anti-Catholic song outside a Catholic church on Remembrance Sunday.
