Vistajet Place Order For Up To 142 Bombardier Global Business Jets

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster, has welcomed news that VistaJet has placed an order for up to 142 of Bombardier's Global business jets.

Bombardier in Belfast is responsible for the design and manufacture of a range of parts for the Global aircraft family, including the forward fuselages, engine nacelles, horizontal stabilisers and other components.

The Minister said: "Bombardier in Northern Ireland plays a major role in the business jet sector, and this multi-million pound contract is a welcome boost for their workforce here. It reflects a confidence in the company and in its staff in Northern Ireland.

"Bombardier has had a presence in Belfast since 1989 and as our largest private sector employer they are pivotal to the local economy. This order, the largest ever business aircraft order in Bombardier’s history, will help to sustain jobs and secure its long-term future, in addition to benefiting the local aerospace supply chain."

Flexjet, LLC Places New Orders For Learjet 85 Aircraft
Bombardier has announced that Flexjet, LLC has placed 30 new firm orders for Learjet 85 aircraft. The options were purchased on September 5, 2013 as part of Flexjet's historic order for up to 245 Bombardier business jets. In addition, Flexjet, LLC, is procuring incremental options for 20 Learjet 85 aircraft.

Bombardier Order Welcomed
The DUP have welcomed the the letter of intent from a European customer to Bombardier for up to 61 CSeries jets. MP Gavin Robinson said: "With 31 firm orders and options for a further 30 jets this could mean an order valued up to $4.8billion for Bombardier if all 30 options are exercised.

Belfast High Flyers Get Order Boost
Aerospace company Bombardier has announced it has received orders for 10 aircraft, component parts of which are manufactured at its Belfast plant. The £490m orders came from a company in Switzerland and undisclosed customers in Russia, and are in addition to another order from Qatar in March for a further two jets worth £90m.

Bombardier Deal Welcomed
The Alliance Party has welcomed the announcement that Bombardier has secured a major order for its C Series aircraft from Delta Airlines. The American airline has agreed to purchase 75 CS100 aircraft with an option for 50 more. The C Series wings and other parts are produced in Belfast.
