Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Belfast City Airport

A Flybe plane has made an emergency landing at Belfast City Airport.

It is believed the aeroplane had minor technical difficulties after leaving for Manchester on Wednesday night.

The pilot made the decision to return to base as a precaution after 15 minutes.

Emergency services were called to ensure the plane landed safely.

No injuries were reported and passengers boarded a different flight after the incident.

Calls have been issued for the removal of a banner linked to 'Soldier F' that appeared on a busy road in Belfast over the weekend. The banner featuring the Parachute Regiment emblem was put up on the Lisburn Road. It comes after the decision to prosecute a paratrooper for the murders of two people on Bloody Sunday.

Army bomb experts attended the scene in the Old Colin area of Dunmurry after a suspicious object was discovered. A number of routes were closed causing disruption to the morning rush hour.

Police Hunt Man After Belfast Burglary
Police are hunting a man following an aggravated burglary in Belfast early this morning, Friday 21 June. It was reported that a man armed with a knife entered a property in the Palestine Street area at around 5am and demanded cash. The occupants, a man and woman, were threatened before the man left.
