Security Alert In Enniskillen

A road has been closed in Enniskillen due to a security alert.

A number of people have also been evacuated from their homes as police are examining a suspicious vehicle that appears to be abandoned on the Derrylin Road.

The A509 Derrylin Road between Derrylin Village and Ballanleck remains closed.

No further information is available.

Work to commence on 19th Century bridge
Work is set to commence on a well-known local landmark in Co Fermanagh which was originally constructed in the 19th Century. Strengthening and painting of the Inishmore Viaduct, which carries the C436 Inishmore Road across Upper Lough Erne, north of Derrylin, will cost the DoE's Road's Service around £200,000.
