Newton Condemns Attack On Teenage Girl
East Belfast DUP MLA Robin Newton has expressed his concerns following a serious assault on a teenage girl in a house in Templemore Avenue.
Mr Newton said: "This attack on a teenage girl will create anger in the community. It is someone’s daughter who was alone and vulnerable that was seriously assaulted.
"Police need the help of the taxi driver who dropped the young woman off in Templemore Avenue and two women who helped on Friday morning.
"This type of violence is blight on our society and any man who attacks young girls needs to be put behind bars. It is almost certain that if he is not caught he will repeat the offence with perhaps even more tragic circumstances."
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
