Youth arrested in connection with Lisburn rape

Police have today arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in Lisburn last weekend.

Another teenage boy was held for questioning the day after the attack, however was released without charge shortly after.

The girl was assaulted in an alleyway off the Moss Road, Harmony Hill in Lisburn at around 9pm on Saturday February 11.

The victim had been socialising with around 40 other young people in the city, and is believed to have become separated from her friends when the attack took place.

Detectives in Lisburn have appealed for any of the youths who were in the area when the incident happened, or anyone who may have any information in relation to the case to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Appeal For Witnesses Following Incident In Dungannon
Dungannon PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was arrested on Monday, 1st April. Making the appeal, Sergeant Delaney said: "Officers on patrol in Moy just after 11pm saw an 18-year-old man lying across a vehicle parked in The Square, which had a damaged windscreen and wing mirror.
