Man shot in both legs in paramilitary-style attack

A 20-year-old man has suffered injuries to both legs following a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down last night.

The shooting incident took place in Stirling Avenue, Newtownards at around 11pm.

It is understood that a number of items from the scene of the attack were subsequently removed for forensic examnation.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Newtownards man shot in paramilitary-style attack
Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down on Thursday. The 30-year-old man was walking along the Jubilee Road in Newtownards at around 9pm when he was bundled into a car. He was taken to an area known as the Flood Gates on the Portaferry Road, where he was shot in the leg.

Man Shot In Co L'Derry
A man has been shot in the ankle in Co L'Derry. The paramilitary-style attack happened near the Creggan shops at around 7.45pm on Thursday, 07 December. The 41-year-old man has been taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police described the shooting as "brutal and horrific".

PSNI Appeal For Information After Cars Set Alight In North Belfast
The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.

Woman Charged Over Murder Of Kyle Neil
A 25-year-old woman has been charged with assisting an offender after a body was found in the boot of a car in south Belfast over the weekend. Kyle Neil, 23, is believed to have died in a "frenzied attack" after attending a party in Comber on Saturday night. The woman is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates' Court today, (Wednesday).
