Dissident Republican Searches In Tyrone

The PSNI has carried out searches in County Tyrone as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.

The searches follow the arrest of a 36-year-old woman in Cookstown on Tuesday evening.

The woman was stopped by police while driving on the Drum Road.

Police Investigate L'Derry Petrol Bomb Attack

The PSNI is investigating a petrol bomb attack in L'Derry.

The incident occurred in the city at about 2.00am on Thursday morning.

A petrol bomb was thrown at a house at Conway Park.

There was no damage caused to the house.

Police are thought to be treating the attack as a suspected hate crime.

Man Charged Over £120,000 Cannabis Find

A Chinese national has been charged following the seizure of £120,000 worth of cannabis.

The 29-year-old man, Da Hu Yu, has been remanded in custody and faces a charge of possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.

Concern Over Missing Woman In Ibiza

The family of a woman originally from Dungannon have launched a Facebook appeal after not hearing from her in 11 days.

Michaella McCollum Connolly works at a popular nightspot in the San Antonio holiday resort in Ibiza.

The dancer, who is in her early 20s, was living in Belfast before she left to work in Spain over the summer.

Her sister Samantha Connolly says she has turned off her phone and has not been on Facebook recently.

She appealed for help from friends in contacting her sister.

The Facebook appeal said: "Michaella comes from a very close and loving family and we are all extremely worried and concerned that she hasn't been in contact and that we cannot contact her."

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Police Cleared Of Failing To Investigate Fake Facebook Page
Police have been cleared of failing to investigate a fake Facebook page which put a family at risk. A man contacted police last year after a false Facebook profile was set up in his name, containing his home address, photos and information about his family, as well as allegations which he said could compromise their safety.

Drugs Charity Issues Warning As Youths Hospitalised
A local drugs charity has issued a warning following overdoses linked to a batch of Pregabalin believed to be circulating the L'Derry area. Four young people are understood to have been admitted to hospital.

Snake Found In NI Street
A snake has been bagged as evidence after it was found on a street in County Armagh. The reptile was discovered when officers noticed a couple of suspicious males in Ulsterville Park, Portadown on the evening of Monday 24 June. Upon stopping to asses the individuals, officers were informed they had found a snake.

Police Appeal After L'Derry Cenotaph Wreaths Destroyed
The PSNI are appealing for information after remembrance wreaths at the Cenotaph in L'Derry were vandalised. It is believed the memorial was defaced in the early hours of Sunday 25 November, at around 2am.
