Three Charged With Attempted Murder
Three people have been charged with attempted murder after an injured man was discovered in a wheeled bin on Tuesday.
The victim, believed to be in his 20s, had a suspected broken arm and leg.
He was found beaten and naked in a taped-up wheeled bin near Sentry Hill, Ballymena, earlier this week by a man who was walking his dog.
Two men, aged 26, and a 20-year-old woman have now been charged with attempted murder of the man. They have also been charged with false imprisonment.
They have been remanded in custody to appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court today (5 September).
A fourth person being questioned about the incident has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder following the death of Stephen Brannigan and the serious assault of a priest in Downpatrick on Sunday, 10 August. The body of 56-year-old Mr Brannigan was discovered at a house in the Marian Park area of the town. On the same day, a priest was seriously assaulted at St Patrick's Church.

A man charged with attempted murder has died in custody. 42-year-old James Carlisle, from the Harbour Road in Kilkeel, was due to appear in court next week. It is understood his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A 44-year-old Armagh man has appeared in court in connection with two counts of attempted murder. Colm Joseph McGurk, of Lower English Street, appeared before Newry Magistrates’ Court accused of the attempted murder of Patrick and Eisha McGurk on Saturday.

A 34-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder. The charge relates to an attack on a 50-year-old man in east Belfast, on Tuesday. Police received a report at around 10.30pm on Tuesday night that a man had been seriously assaulted on the Greenville Road in the Beersbridge Road area of the city.
