Police Seize Over £600,000 Worth Of Cannabis In Antrim

Alliance Councillor Neil Kelly has praised the effective police action that led to more than £600,000 worth of herbal cannabis being seized after two cars were stopped in the town.

The drugs had an estimated street value of £618,200 and two men were arrested at the scene.

Councillor Neil Kelly said: "I want to praise the PSNI officers involved who took quick, effective action after stopping these cars.

"This was a substantial cannabis find and it is worrying that another major drugs find has been made in Antrim. Drugs must be taken off our streets and I would appeal to anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible."

PSNI Investigates Arson Attack In L'Derry
The PSNI have launched an investigation into an arson attack in L'Derry on Monday, 11 March. At around 11.30pm last night, it was reported to police that two vehicles were on fire in the Grainan Drive area. Police and NIFRS attended the scene. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
