Eishtec Announces New Jobs
Fine Gael Waterford Deputy, Paudie Coffey, has welcomed news that Waterford company, Eishtec, is to expand further and will now employ 950 people in the South East region at their two sites in Waterford and Wexford. Deputy Coffey his expressed his delight at having been able to assist Eishtec during its establishment over 2 years ago, when the company initially announced it would be hiring 20 people.
Mr Coffey said: "Eishtec is the fastest growing Enterprise Ireland-supported company in Ireland and it was little more than two years ago that the company was established with the ambition of creating 20 jobs and expanding to 100 by the end of that year. We now have a Waterford based company, run by Irish entrepreneurs, which will employ 950 people in the region.
"Having been involved with Eishtec since the outset, when they first made a modest proposal, I can attest to the commitment, energy and vision of all involved. The management and staff have exceeded all expectations and won new contracts that have created hundreds of jobs, which is where the focus should be."

Further 100 Jobs For Waterford City

Bausch + Lomb Create 125 New Jobs
Bausch + Lomb has announced the opening of a new €85 million extension at the their Waterford facility, with the creation of 125 new jobs. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, the parent company of Bausch + Lomb, has invested more than €200 million in the Waterford facility's operations, infrastructure and manufacturing line growth.
