Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A man has been charged with the attempted murder of two teenagers.

The 23-year-old also faces charges of criminal damage, threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon with intent.

The charges relate to an incident that happened early on Monday morning. At around 3.30am, a 19-year-old woman and 16-year-old boy were attacked at a property in the North Howard Street area of west Belfast.

He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court later today.

Life sentence for man who murdered uncle
A man has been sentenced to life in jail for stabbing his uncle to death despite allegations that he had been the victim of sexual abuse in the past. Thomas Ian McQuade, 32 told Belfast Crown Court that he murdered 59-year-old Joseph McQuade at his home in Comber as an act of revenge because he had been sexually abused by his uncle.

Man Charged Over PSNI Pipe Bomb
A man has been charged over a pipe bomb attack on police officers in north Belfast last month. Police were responding to a 999 call in the Crumlin Road area of the city in the early hours of Tuesday 28 May when what is believed to be two pipe bombs were thrown as the officers stepped out of their vehicle.
