Boy Arrested Over Sexual Assault
Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy following reports of a sexual assault on a girl in L'Derry.
It is thought that the girl was assaulted in Rathkeele Way in Creggan on Tuesday morning. There are no further details.
Man Killed In Road Collision
A man has been killed in a collision involving a car and a lorry on the Broad Road between Limavady and Coleraine, County L'Derry, shortly before 14:20 on Tuesday.
The victim was the driver of the car. A male passenger in the car at the time has been taken to hospital where his condition is thought to be stable.
PSNI Investigate 'Shot' In L'Derry
Police are investigating after a shot was reported at a house in L'Derry in the Melmore Gardens area.
Neighbours reported a loud bang at around 01:00 this morning. Police arrived on the scene to find the front window broken, strike marks on an inside wall and part of a bullet inside.
No-one was in the house at the time of the attack.
Farmer Fined Over Waterway Pollution
A County Antrim farmer has been fined £2,000 at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court for making a polluting discharge to a waterway.
Mr George Anderson, of Tullyard Road, Lisburn, pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay Court Costs of £22 and an Offenders Levy of £15.
On 8 January 2013, a Water Quality Inspector inspected an unnamed tributary of the River Lagan at Tullyard, Lisburn.
The inspector observed a thick growth of fungus on the bed of the waterway, downstream of the point of entry of a brown coloured discharge emanating from an adjacent field.
The source of the material discharging to the waterway and causing the pollution was determined to be the farm premises of Mr George Anderson at Tullyard Road, Lisburn.
A sample taken at the time of the incident confirmed that the discharge contained poisonous, noxious or polluting matter which was potentially harmful to fish life in the receiving waterway.

Co Antrim Farmer Fined Over Polluted Waterway
A Co Antrim farmer has been fined after pleading guilty to polluting a waterway in Randalstown. Mr Samuel McCracken, of Craigmore Road, Randalstown, was fined £500 and ordered to pay court fees after admitting to making a polluting discharge. The charge related to an inspection carried out by Water Quality Inspectors on 30 August last year.
