McDonalds Create 60 Jobs In Kilkenny

Sixty new jobs are to be created in Kilkenny city by fast-food chain McDonalds.

The restaurant has announced that it will open a new premises on Hedron Road on the outskirts of the city, replacing its previous site at Patrick Street.

It is understood that 40 staff who worked at the Patrick Street chain have moved to the new restaurant, with a further 60 staff needed.

200 New Jobs For Galway Medical Firm
Leading medical devices firm Merit Medical Systems has created 200 new jobs. The first, which makes products for use in cardiology, radiology and endoscopy, is to take on the new staff at its 20 million euro facility in Parkmore business park in Galway.

Tesco To Recruit 200 New Staff
Tesco has announced that it is recruiting over 200 new staff for its new store which will open in Newry on 6 June 2013. The announcement was welcomed today by Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry as recruitment opened for the new store. The Minister described the jobs boost as good news for jobseekers in the Newry area.

Combilift To Create 100 New Jobs
Irish Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheal Martin officially opened the new 10 million euro headquarters of Irish company Combilift in Monaghan town, which will create 100 new jobs over the next three years bringing total staff numbers to 250.
