Man Shot In Knee In L'Derry

A man, aged 20, has been taken to hospital after he was shot in the knee.

The incident happened in L'derry on Sunday night.

It is understood a gang of three men were involved in the attack. They broke in to a property in the Osborne Street are at around 11pm. Two men went to the upstairs of the house and shot the man in his right knee. He was later taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for his injuries.

Another man and a woman in the house at the time were held at gunpoint in a room downstairs by the third member of the gang.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Appeal After Masked Men Force Entry Into Home Of Elderly Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.

Man Shot In North Belfast
A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident in north Belfast. Police have reported that a 20-year-old man was injured in a paramilitary-style shooting at about 01:00 on Monday morning at Havana Walk in Ardoyne. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. An investigation into the shooting is underway.
