£200k Announced For Castlereagh Regeneration
£200,000 funding has been allocated to a revitalisation project for the Borough of Castlereagh in Belfast.
The overall aims of the project are to increase footfall, attract and sustain investment in the local economy, re-create "a sense of strong civic pride" and enhance and regenerate Castlereagh Borough.
Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland said: "This £200,000 investment will help breathe new life into Castlereagh Borough which stretches from Dundonald to Carryduff up to Forestside.
"Once completed these works will benefit a wide range of local people including retailers, businesses, residents and visitors alike. My Department has worked closely with Castlereagh Borough Council and local stakeholders to take this project forward."

The proposed Tullycarnet Enterprise Park on the Old Dundonald Road covers a total area of 2.4 acres and upon completion in October 2008 will offer 25 office/light industrial units.

Policing Board Gets New Chief
The Northern Ireland Policing Board has appointed a new top officer. Professor Sir Desmond Rea - the Board's Chairman - announced that Adrian Donaldson would take up the job in January. Sir Desmond said: "The Board is very pleased that Mr Donaldson has accepted the offer to become its new Chief Executive.
