Woman, 76, Released In Connection With 1989 Murder

A 76-year-old woman, arrested this morning (24 June), in connection with the murder of a teenager 25 years ago, has been released unconditionally, police have confirmed.

Caroline Graham, 19, disappeared in April 1989. She was originally from Newry but had been living with her boyfriend in Hanover Street, Portadown, at the time of her disappearance. She is thought to have been in living in Portadown for two years before she went missing.

Her body has never been found.

Earlier on Tuesday, detectives investigating the teenager's disappearance said a woman had been arrested in Portadown and was helping police with their inquiries.

No Police Wrongdoing In Belfast Hostel Incident- Ombudsman
A police officer accused of assaulting a man outside a hostel in Belfast has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Police Ombudsman's office. A complaint was lodged after an incident in May last year, when two officers attended the hostel in Belfast City Centre on an unrelated matter.

Police Dog Locates Man Wanted Over Burglary
A man has been arrested after he was located with the help of a police dog, following a burglary in west Belfast. The house of an older man on the Falls Road was targeted at around 10.30pm on Wednesday 13 January. The police were alerted and officers, accompanied by a dog and handler, located a man in his 30's still in the grounds of the property.
