Woman Dies In Newry Canal Crash

A 50-year-old woman has died after her car crashed into Newry Canal.

The victim, who has been named as Patricia Campbell, is thought to have been from the Newry area. At around 1.30pm on Tuesday, her car crashed into the canal on Fathom Line. No other car was involved in the incident.

Emergency services, including police, the fire service and specialist rescue teams, attended the scene.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
