Gun Attack On Police Vehicle In L'Derry

A gunman has opened fire on a police patrol car in Co Londonderry in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The patrol car was travelling on Westland Street in the Bogside area of the city when the incident happened. No one was injured in the attack, which has been described as "totally reckless".

Police say an investigation is underway.

A man, aged 32, has been charged with over 60 offences following a gun incident in north Belfast. Two shots were fired in the Silverstream Road/ Manor Street area of the city at around 10.30am on Sunday, 02 May. There were no reports of any injuries.

TWO PENSIONERS ESCAPE INJURY IN PETROL BOMB ATTACK
TWO elderly Protestant sisters have escaped injury after a petrol bomb attack on their East Belfast home. The women, aged 73 and 79, escaped injury after a passing police patrol discovered a fire at their home and forced their way into the house in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Appeal For Information On Pipebomb Incident In L'Derry
Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information on an incident at Knockwellan Park in the Waterside area on Saturday 28th November. Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Richard Donnell said: "Just before 10pm on Saturday night, police received a report that a white transit van, which had been parked in the area, was on fire.

Man Arrested Over Incident At McDonald's In Belfast
A man has been arrested in connection with an incident at McDonald's in Belfast city centre. The arrest was made following an altercation between the man and a security guard at McDonald's on Castle Place. It is understood the man had been asked to leave the restaurant and began arguing with the guard and the situation escalated into a fight.
