Firefighters Rescue Woman From Cooker Blaze

Firefighters have administered oxygen to a 45-year-old woman following a fire in a detached house in Dunloy, County Antrim.

The incident occurred at a property on the Ballynaloob Road.

A cooker involved in the fire was removed to the open by fire crews while the woman, who had suffered slight smoke inhalation, was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Lisburn Security Alert Ends

"Nothing untoward" has been found following a security alert in Lisburn, County Antrim in an incident that involved a "suspicious" vehicle.

The vehicle was spotted in Coolsara Park on Friday morning and a number of homes were evacuated while it was checked.

Coolsara Park and Magheralave Road were closed to traffic, but have since reopened.

Men Arrested Over 'Sudden' Death

Police have arrested three men following the death of a man in his 20s in Banbridge, County Down, on Thursday evening.

Police are thought to be investigating a potential drugs link to the death, which happened suddenly in the Kenlis Street area.

The men, one in his 40s and two in their 20s, have been detained by police. Two have been taken to hospital for treatment.

Belfast City Hall Opens Book Of Condolence

Belfast City Hall has opened a book of condolence for those who have died in Gaza, in Israel and "in all current conflicts around the world".

The Lord Mayor Nichola Mallon was joined at City Hall today by representatives from all the party groups on Belfast City Council, as well as Chaplains representing the range of faiths across Belfast.

UK-Born Limerick Fireman Compensated
An English-born firefighter has been awarded €5,000 in compensation for discrimination by Limerick City Council. An Equality Tribunal heard Martin Mannering, now living in Cappamore, Co Limerick was left a note to leave his job because he was no longer "in Middlesbrough".

Investigation Launched After Heroin And Cash Seized In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after discovering heroin and a sum of cash in Belfast city centre. Four wraps of the Class A drugs were found in bushes on Wednesday, 30 November. Police also seized a sum of cash. The PSNI are continuing with their enquiries.

Police Issue Appeal Over Attempted PSNI Murder
The PSNI has issued an appeal to the public regarding the attempted murder of an off-duty police officer and his family at their home in east Belfast on Sunday 30 December. Detectives from Serious Crime Branch want to speak to late night revellers who got taxis in Belfast city centre that weekend.

St Patrick's Day event has support of BCC says councillor
The Chairman of Belfast City Council’s Good Relations Steering Panel has challenged claims that the Council is not supporting St Patrick’s Day in Belfast. It follows a protest outside Belfast City Hall last week by the St Patrick's Carnival Committee who claim the Council isn't funding this year's event at the City Hall.
