Views Sought On Olympia Play Park

Belfast City Council is seeking views from the local community regarding proposals to transform Olympia Leisure Centre.

As part of the project, there are plans to construct a new play park at Olympia Drive, close to the entrance of the new facility.

The new playground will be accessible and attractive to children of all ages, with a range of play equipment for children aged 12 or under, plus a target zone for older children, young people and group activities.

The existing play park at Olympia will stay open until summer 2016.

An information and engagement day will be held at Olympia Community Centre on Wednesday 17 September to allow the local community to come along and share their views.

Visitors can view draft plans, speak to council staff and comment on the proposals. Displays and information will also be available inside Olympia Leisure Centre and Olympia Community Centre.
