Woman Tied Up During Burglary

A woman in her sixties has been left shaken after being tied up during a robbery at her home.

Detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary at the property in north Belfast.

A number of masked males entered the woman's home on Cavehill Road at around 21:00 on Sunday 30 November.

One male bound the woman's hands with cable ties while a second male searched the house.

They then made off with a sum of money and the householder was able to raise the alarm.

Detectives said they believed the two males could have been accompanied by a third, but that he remained unseen by the victim.

The first suspect is described as around 5' 8" tall of stocky build. He was wearing a dark green hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms and a Halloween mask.

The second is described as being taller than the first and thin. He was wearing a black coloured bomber jacket and had a scarf over his face.

Detectives are keen to speak to witnesses or anyone who may have information.

Police can be contacted on 101. The independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111
