Man Sentenced Over Ammunitions Find
A man has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for possession of ammunition in suspicious circumstances.
The 41-year-old male was sentenced on Friday following his arrest after police searches in the Castlereagh area on 13 May last year.
"I am pleased to say that the hard work of police and the court service has paid off and we welcome the sentence served," Superintendent Paula Hilman said.
"I hope that this provides reassurance to the community that police are tackling this type of criminality and that this will also serve as a warning to deter others from committing such crime.
"This arrest was made following one of the first searches detectives conducted under Op Reiner as part of investigations into hate crimes being committed across Belfast."

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police Release Man Arrested In Connection With INLA Criminality
A man arrested in connection with organised criminality linked to the INLA has now been released. The 38-year-old suspect was detained by the PSNI's Reactive and Organised Crime branch following searches in the West Belfast area on Wednesday, 05 July. He has now been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

A Londonderry man has been jailed for nearly two years for sexually abusing three young sisters over 20 years ago. James Curran, 63, had his original sentence of probation overturned at the Appeal Court in Belfast. He was also sentenced to three years probation for indecent assaults.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March. Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back.
