Teenager Arrested Over North Belfast Stabbing

A teenage boy has been arrested following the stabbing of a man at a house in north Belfast.

The 16-year-old was arrested shortly after the incident, which occurred on Thursday evening in the Duncairn Parade area just after 19:00.

The 20-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police confirmed that an arrest was made on Friday evening.

Detective Constable Mark Gillespie said: "The 16-year-old male was arrested at approximately 8.15pm in the Deerpark Road area of north Belfast.

"He currently remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries."

Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to contact CID at Antrim Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

Police Appeal After 'Shot Fired' In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after reports of a shot being fired in north Belfast. No-one is believed to have been injured in the incident in the Farringdon Court area on Thursday. Police are keen to establish what happened and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Anne O'Neill
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Anne ONeill. The 51-year-old victim died from her injuries following an incident at a house in the Ardmore Avenue area in Finaghy on Saturday, 21 October. The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 25 October.
