Teenage Girl In Serious Condition After Being Hit By Car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager girl was hit by a car on the Upper Newtownards Road at about 08:40 on Tuesday morning.

The girl is currently in a serious condition in hospital.

Police have arrested a man, aged in his 30s, in connection with the incident.

Anyone who was in the area of Sandown Road and Knock Road this morning has been asked to contact Strandtown on 101.

A PSNI officer dived into the sea in Portrush to rescue a cliff diver who had got into difficulties in the water. Officers on the North Coast received a call of a man struggling in the water near Dunluce shortly after 6pm on Tuesday evening, 25 June.

Police Name Lisburn Murder Victim
Police have confirmed the identity of a man murdered in Lisburn on Friday 21 June. 50-year-old Paul Smyth was found in his living room in the Coulson Avenue area at around 8.45pm. Speaking on Sunday evening, investigating officers also confirmed that he had been shot.
