Man Hit By Car In North Belfast

A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in north Belfast.

The incident occurred on the New Lodge Road at around 10pm on Tuesday night.

The man is currently in hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious.

The road has been re-opened.

A man armed with a handgun has robbed an off-licence in the University Road area of south Belfast. Shortly after 7pm, a man entered the premises and produced a handgun and demanded money from the till. The man made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

Man due in court charged with attempted murder
A 34-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder. The charge relates to an attack on a 50-year-old man in east Belfast, on Tuesday. Police received a report at around 10.30pm on Tuesday night that a man had been seriously assaulted on the Greenville Road in the Beersbridge Road area of the city.
