Male Detained Over Drugs And Blackmail Offences

A 30-year-old man has been arrested by police in County Antrim following an investigation into drugs and blackmail.

He was detained in Ahoghill and has been taken to Antrim Police Station.

Detective Inspector Tom McClure said: "The suspect is being questioned about blackmail, threats to kill, the illegal supply of controlled drugs and other offences."

Police are currently searching a property in Ahoghill and an investigation is ongoing.

Three In Hospital After Police Vehicle Collides With Another Vehicle
Two police officers and a civilian remain in hospital following a collision in Newry on Saturday, 13 April. It is understood that the police officers were travelling in a police vehicle to attend a separate incident at about 7.30pm when they collided with another vehicle on the Fathom Road.
