New Visitor Guide And Public Art Adventure Trail Launches
A new visitor guide and a public art adventure trail have been launched in Newcastle, County Down.
The guide, which has been funded by the Department for Social Development, includes historical and heritage information as well as advice on various attractions, activities and eateries, while the adventure trail provides an interactive game involving specially commissioned art pieces.
Social Development Minister Mervyn Storey said: "The new visitor guide to Newcastle is a must have for locals and visitors alike. It gives information on all of Newcastle's attractions, from accommodation to shopping; it is attractive and easy to use and lists events and activities to help people enjoy all that Newcastle and its surroundings has to offer.
"The new artwork, which includes a shell, a starfish and a jellyfish, make up an attractive and interactive adventure trail for families, locals and visitors to enjoy."

Giant's Causeway Centre Gets Top Eco Rating
The new Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre in Northern Ireland has achieved an 'excellent' rating of 74% in accordance with the UK's BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method). Engineering specialists from global consultancy WYG were commissioned by the National Trust to provide advice on the redevelopment which replaces the existing building.
