Woman Arrested Over Basil McAfee Murder
Police have arrested a woman in connection with the murder of Basil McAfee in north Belfast in December 2013.
The 44-year-old suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast.
Mr McAfee's body was discovered in the living room of his home in Henderson Avenue on 20 December. He was the victim of an attack involving an axe and a knife. He was last seen alive on the evening of 19 December.
This is the fifth arrest so far.

Home Safety And Crime Prevention Event At Belfast City Hall
A free home safety and crime prevention advice event is to be held at Belfast City Hall on Friday, 01 March. The Belfast Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) has organised the event, which is free and will take place from 10am-1pm in Belfast City Hall. Complimentary tea, coffee and refreshments will also be provided.

The victim, who was attacked with an axe and a knife, was discovered at his home on Henderson Avenue on 20 December. Four people have been arrested in connection so far. The man is being detained at a police station in Belfast.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch arrested a 29-year-old man in the south Belfast area this morning. Mr McAfee’s body was discovered in the living room of his home in Henderson Avenue in north Belfast on 20 December last year.
