Three men in court over carjacking

Three men were due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today in connection with the hijacking of a car on the outskirts of Belfast.

A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old man will be charged with hijacking, while a 21-year-old man will be charged with aiding and abetting the hijacking.

The charges are in connection with an incident in which the car of a pregnant woman was stolen from a petrol station in Glengormley on Monday evening.

The pregnant woman's 11-year-old daughter was left badly shaken following the incident as she was forced from the car during the hijacking.

All three men will also be charged with burglary.
