Police Appeal For Witnesses To Armed Street Robbery

Police have appealed for information following an armed robbery in east Belfast on Saturday 04 July.

The PSNI have said that a man was walking along the Albertbridge Road on Saturday afternoon when he was approached by another male, who demanded money. The suspect then sprayed a substance at the victim before using a knife to cut his pockets to search for money.

The victim suffered cuts to his arm and leg during the robbery.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed this incident to contact Detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Anil Patel pled guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child, arranging the commission of a child sex offence and possessing extreme pornography of children.

Daniel Sebastian Allen Jailed For 29 Years For Murder Of Family Of Four
Daniel Sebastian Allen has been sentenced to life in prison for the deaths of three people in a deliberate house fire in Derrylin, Co Fermanagh, in 2018. The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to starting a fire at a house, which lead to the death of four people, including a baby girl.
