Man Seriously Attacked In Armagh

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious attack in Armagh.

A 20-year-old man was assaulted in the Millford area off the Monaghan Road on Sunday.

He remains in a serious condition in hospital after suffering a number of head and facial injuries.

Inspector Edel Stinton said: "At this time we believe the assault may have occurred early on Sunday morning but was not reported to police and the victim was not found until shortly before 5pm on Sunday evening. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

"A 25 year old man was arrested on Sunday evening. He remains in custody this morning assisting police with our enquiries."

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Seriously Ill After Being Found Unconscious In Co Antrim
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found unconscious at a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The man was discovered at a property in the Dunclug Gardens area on Tuesday, 18 October. Man Dies After Tree Falls On Van In County Armagh
A man has died and a woman has been seriously injured after a tree fell on a van in County Armagh on Thursday. The incident happened on the Keady Road at around 4.50pm. The woman, who was a passenger in the car, remains in a critical condition in hospital. The road remains closed between Ballyards Road and Ennislare Road.

The PSNI have welcomed a two-year Stalking Protection Order (SPO) handed down to a 46-year-old Belfast man at Belfast Magistrates Court. The man had been found guilty of stalking and harassing his 50-year-old female ex-partner.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.

Three Arrested After Man Seriously Attacked In Co Antrim
Three people have been arrested after a man was attacked in Co Antrim on Sunday. The victim, believed to be in his early 30s, was found by police at the side of a road in The Cloney area in Glenarm at around 3am. He sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.
