Image Released Following Attempted Armed Robbery In 2014

Police have released an image of a man following an attempted armed robbery at a commercial premises in north Belfast in 2014.

The incident happened on the Cavehill Road on Tuesday 02 December at around 6pm.

A man entered an off licence and struck a till with a hammer. He made off empty handed and no-one was injured in the incident.

Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne said: "I would like to speak to the man pictured who may have information about this attempted armed robbery. Him, or anyone who knows him, is asked to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101."

Man Arrested Over Armed Robbery In West Belfast
A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in west Belfast. The robbery happened at a shop on Caffrey Avenue at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 27 February. The suspect threatened a member of staff and made off with a sum of cash and cigarettes. He was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February, and has been detained in police custody.
