Man and woman arrested following stabbing

Two people where being questioned by police today following the stabbing of a man in Co Antrim early this morning.

The man and woman were arrested in connection with the incident which occurred in the Riverdale area of Larne.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital were he was treated for his wounds.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for information following a paramilitary style attack on a teenager in Newtownabbey last night.

The incident took place at around 9pm on Wednesday when the 17-year-old was picked up by three men in a white van from a shop in Jordanstown.

He was the taken to Ballyduff quarry where he was shot once in the hand.

Two Men Arrested Under Terrorism Act In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co L'Derry. Several items were seized following searches in the area on Wednesday, 21 March. They have been taken away for further examination. The men have been detained in police custody.

Man arrested following stabbing
A man has been stabbed following an incident at an apartment in south Belfast. The victim, who has not been named, was taken to hospital suffering injuries to his head and forearm, following the incident that took place at Tollgate House in Bradbury Place, shortly before 4.30am this morning. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

33-year-old man dies following Belfast stabbing
A man has been stabbed to death following an incident in Belfast city centre at the weekend. The 33-year-old victim is believed to have been stabbed during a brawl at a bar in May Street late on Sunday evening. Found unconscious in Cromac Street, the man died later in hospital.
