Police attacked during separate trouble in Co Down
Police in Downpatrick are appealing for information after two officers were attacked outside a bar in the Co Down town last night.
One of the officers was punched in the face while another was hit on the head with a bottle during the disturbance in Market Street at around midnight on Sunday.
One man was arrested following the incident.
Elsewhere, police were attacked by a crowd of around 30 people during the early hours of Sunday morning in Banbridge.
The trouble is believed to have started after a fight broke out at a local nightclub in the town. When police went in to break up the trouble they were attacked by the crowd.
Two men, aged 21 and 23, were subsequently arrested for disorderly behaviour.
No officers were injured during the disturbances.

Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt
The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking. The man was arrested by officers from the Police Service's local policing team in Magherafelt, with assistance from the International Policing Unit. He is expected appear before extradition court in Belfast later today.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March. Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back.

A 59-year-old man has been arrested at Birmingham Airport in connection with a fatal mortar attack in Newry in 1992. The man was arrested on Wednesday, 21 February by detectives from PSNI's Legacy Investigation Branch, investigating the murder of Constable Colleen McMurray and the attempted murder of her colleague in 1992.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
