Kevin McGuigan Murder: Man Released Pending Report To The PPS
A man arrested in connection with the murder of former IRA man Kevin McGuigan Sr has been released, pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The 47-year-old was detained in west Belfast on Monday and was released by police on Tuesday.
Mr McGuigan was shot dead outside his home in east Belfast in August.
His death sparked a political crisis in Northern Ireland and police said they believed the Provisional IRA was involved in the murder.
It is thought McGuigan was killed in retaliation for the shooting of former IRA leader Gerard 'Jock' Davison three months earlier.
