Enterprise Minister Visits Bombardier's Mirabel Facility

Enterprise Minister Jonathan Bell has visited Bombardier's Mirabel facility during his visit to Canada.

Minister Bell met with senior management at Bombardier in Montreal.

The meeting was with Jean Seguin, President, Aerostructures and Sébastien Mullot‎, Director, C Series Programme at Bombardier's Mirabel facility.

Minister Bell said he recognises the challenges Bombardier is facing, however he is confident they can be overcome.

He said: "The senior management team at Bombardier is rightly very proud of the C Series and I felt extremely proud to see wings that have been built in Belfast being attached to this game changing aircraft.

"While I recognise that Bombardier faces challenges, the management team is confident these can be overcome and that more sales will follow. The relationship between Northern Ireland and Bombardier is a long standing, successful one; and it is a relationship that will continue to bear fruit in the future."
