Young Girl Approached In L'Derry

Police are appealing for information after a young girl was approached by men in a van in L'Derry.

The incident happened in the Creggan area at around 4.15pm on Wednesday.

The nine-year-old girl was walking in the Creggan area when a white van pulled up beside her.

One of the three men asked her to get in, however the girl refused and ran home.

Police have issued a warning to parents and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Young Girls Attacked In Craigavon
Police are appealing for information after two young girls were attacked in Co Armagh. The pair were sat on a wall near Belvedere Forest, by the entrance to the golf club, when the "unprovoked" attack took place. The incident occurred at around 11pm on Saturday evening, 30 November.

Hospital Visitors To Stay Clear As Bugs Increase
A doctor from the Southern Trust has requested that people only visit hospitals if absolutely necessary as bugs in the community increase. The call comes following a rise in cases of flu, vomiting and diarrhoea which has already impacted on some wards in Craigavon and Daisy Hill Hospitals.

Three Teenagers Arrested Over Co Antrim Murder
Police investigating the murder of Nelson Cheung in Co Antrim earlier this month have arrested a three teenage girls. Mr Cheung, 65, died after he was stabbed in an attack on the Caddy Road on 8 January. It is understood Mr Cheung and his wife were attacked after their car was forced off the road.

Road crash claims three lives in Armagh
A road accident in County Armagh has claimed the lives of three people. The crash happened at the junction of Newtownhamilton Road and Keady Road in Armagh, and involved an Isuzu Trooper vehicle and an articulated lorry. Two men and a woman were killed in the accident which happened at about 12.30pm on Thursday.

Man suffers suspected fractured skull in attack
A man has suffered a suspected fractured skull after being attacked in north Belfast on Sunday. The 22-year-old man was walking along the Cliftonville Road when two men got out of a passing car and attacked him. Police believe a number of women were also in the car and have appealed for information on the attack. No motive has yet been established.
