Possible 'Link' Between Three Attempted Hijackings In Belfast

Police are investigating a possible link between three attempted hijackings in Belfast.

A woman was preparing to drive from York Parade onto York Road at around 8.30pm on Monday, when a man, wearing a scarf over his face, opened the driver's door.

He attempted to pull her out of the vehicle, however she managed to drive off. She was not injured but was left badly shaken.

At around 10pm on the same day, two men, believed to be driving a blue motorbike, ordered a man out of his vehicle in a car park in Corporation Street. One of the men tried to open the door however the driver drove off.

Another driver was also approached in the same car park and one of the men, who had been on board the motorbike, banged on the window of the vehicle with a screwdriver, however the driver drove off.

Police believed the attempted hijackings may be linked and are appealing fro anyone with information to contact them.
