Cyclist Killed In Collision With Lorry

A 47-year-old man has died in an road accident in Lisburn.

It is understood that the man was involved in a collision with a lorry as he cycled on the Knockmore Road.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident.

Road Closed After Man Seen With Suspected Firearm

The Portadown Road in Armagh was closed on Wednesday following reports of a man with a suspected firearm.

It is understood that when police arrived on the scene the man was seen throwing something into the undergrowth before he was arrested.

Police said that the object was found and identified as a toy gun.

The 23-year-old man is being detained on suspicion of disorderly behaviour and obstruction of a highway.

Gobbins Coastal Path To Remain Closed Over Easter Holidays

The Gobbins coastal path is to be closed over the Easter holiday weekend.

It is understood that part of the path, which was reopened in August last year, was damaged storms and record rainfall in January.

It is not yet known when the path, a major tourist attraction, will reopen.

Serious Road Crash In L'Derry
A serious road crash has occurred on the Chapel Road in L'Derry. A car and a motorbike where involved in the incident, according to the police. One man, believed to be a teenager, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious. The road has been closed at its junctions with Newlyn Terrace and Spencer Road.

Man Dies In Workplace Accident In Co Armagh
A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.
