Police Renew Appeal For Information Following Robbery

Police have made a fresh appeal for information following the robbery of an elderly woman in east Belfast last month.

The victim, who is aged in her 90s, was robbed in the Aston Gardens area of the Upper Newtownards Road at around 4pm on Monday, 25 April.

During the incident, the woman was struck on the head with a stick and her handbag stolen by a man. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Her attacker has been described as being aged around 60 to 65 years old, of thin build with a full face, around 5'10" or 5'11" tall and was wearing a fawn or beige flat cap with a peak, and a khaki or grey overcoat worn over a suit. He spoke with an average Belfast accent.

Detective Inspector Nigel Snoddy said: "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101 or via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Police appeal for information following north Belfast robbery
Police in north Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery in a convenience store in the area last night. A masked man, believed to be armed with a handgun, entered the shop on the lower Antrim Road at around 9pm. He threatened staff before making off with the contents of a safe, which has been reported as being substantial.

Police appeal for information following armed robbery in south Belfast
Police in south Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery at an off licence in Agincourt Avenue last night. At around 5.50pm a man armed with a handgun entered the premises in the Holy Lands area and, after threatening a female member of staff, stole a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
