Police Appeal For Information After Erratic Driving Incident
Police in Derry City and Strabane are appealing for information following an incident involving a silver-coloured BMW being driven erratically in the city last night, Sunday 11th May.
At approximately 9:10 pm, officers on patrol observed the vehicle being driven in a dangerous manner in the vicinity of the Letterkenny Road.
Police signalled for the driver to stop, but the vehicle failed to do so and continued to be driven dangerously before being abandoned in the Glenowen Park area. Damage was observed to the front of the car, which has since been seized for further examination.
Two men were seen exiting the BMW and making off in the direction of Creggan Road.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the car, or who has any information that could assist in identifying the two men, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1531 11/05/25.
A report can also be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via the PSNI website. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Fourth Person Dies Following Maguiresbridge Shooting
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that a fourth person has now died following the shooting incident in Maguiresbridge that occurred on Wednesday, 23 July. Ian Rutledge, aged 43, passed away on Monday, 28 July, after being hospitalised in a serious condition since the incident.
