Renewed PSNI Appeal After Viable Device Found In Ballyclare

PSNI Detectives are appealing again for information following a security alert in the Ballylagan Road area of Ballyclare on the morning of Sunday, 14th December.

Detective Inspector Kelly Gallagher confirmed details of the incident: "Police received a report of a suspicious object located outside a property in the Ballylagan Road area shortly after 9am on Sunday."

Police personnel attended the scene and were joined by Ammunition Technical Officers (ATO). Following an examination, the device was confirmed to be viable.

DI Gallagher stated that investigators believe the incident was a deliberate act of targeting based on mistaken identity. "We believe this deliberate act is a case of mistaken identity and we would like to hear from anyone with information that could help our investigation. PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information on a stabbing incident in Dervock in Ballymoney on the evening of Sunday 30 July. At approximately 9.50pm, police received a report that two men had been stabbed during an altercation outside a bar in the Carncullagh Road area of the town.

'Viable' Pipe Bomb Thrown At A House In Banbridge
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses and information following an incident in which a pipe bomb was thrown at a house in Granville Gardens in Banbridge shortly after 11pm last night, Monday 09 August. Police and ATO attended the scene and following examination, the device, which did not ignite, was declared viable.
