Cannabis Worth £100,000 Seized In Co Antrim

Police have seized cannabis, worth an estimated street value of £100,000, during a planned search in Dunmurry, Co Antrim.

Detective Sergeant McAuley said: "This seizure highlights our continued determination to tackle the scourge of illegal drugs in the local community and I would appeal to anyone who has concerns about illegal drugs to contact police. We will look into any report that we receive as we work with the community to reduce the harm caused by these drugs.

"I would appeal to anyone who has any concerns or information about illegal drugs to contact their local Police on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Pair Jump From Flat During Aggravated Burglary
Two men sustained broken bones when they jumped from a flat during a serious assault and aggravated burglary, police have said. Three males targeted the property in Ballynahinch, Co Down while armed with a hammer and a knife in the early hours of Monday morning, 16 March.
