Warning Issued To Parents Over Fake Facebook Account

Police have issued a warning to parents and young people over a fake Facebook account encouraging people to take part in an online audition to be a model.

Several youths have been contacted via Facebook for an online modelling audition.

PSNI North Coast said: "We would like to remind everyone to be wary over who contacts you on Facebook and what information you share with them, even if you have mutual friends. If someone contacts you claiming to be from a modelling agency do not take their word for it, do some research on the company.

"Never do something online that you wouldn't do in public.

"If you have been affected by an incident like this, please report it to police on 101."
