Cannabis And Cash Seized In West Belfast

Two men have been arrested after police seized herbal cannabis, worth an estimated street value of £150,000, in Belfast.

Around £15,000 cash was also discovered during a house search in west Belfast.

The suspects, aged 37 and 41, have been arrested on suspicion of drugs trafficking and money laundering offences and are currently in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Denis McGaffin said: "Our investigation is at an early stage. We continue our efforts to keep people safe by removing drugs from the streets and arresting anyone suspected of involvement in their supply."

Substantial drugs haul in Hillsborough
Police have recovered a substantial quantity of illegal drugs in an operation outside Hillsborough today. A car was stopped and searched by police on the A1 near Hillsborough at 11am on Thursday morning. The car was found to contain what is believed to be cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £750,000.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.
